The Dokter Larijweg is the longest pear orchard in the world, along this road there are some 1,200 stewing pear trees, which will be auctioned on this day. At a number of locations along the road, beautiful farm yards are set up with market stalls, food trucks and activities. The main focus is on rural and homemade products. These yards are at museum farm de Karstenhoeve (Doctor Larijweg 21), at Woldzuivel (Doctor Larijweg 50), here there is also a special children's yard with all kinds of fun activities and games. Also at campsite de Toffe Peer (Doctor Larijweg 94) and at Villa Kakelbondt (Doctor Larijweg 102) are cosy yards, open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Between the yards, the "Heen en Peer", a covered wagon that transports you from one yard to another.

The auction of the pear trees starts at 9 a.m. off Dokter Larijweg 1 and at the same time the Children's Auctioneer starts from Dokter Larijweg 172, where only children are allowed to bid on the stewing pear trees.
