Three blokes behind the wheel of a rusty old banger with no brakes. The punk boy band TAXITAXI blasts their way through schools, supermarkets and churches with songs consisting of four lines, zero mercy and maximum sing-along potential. The Groningen trio, clad in racing suits, blend the short, punchy tracks of Hang Youth and The Hives with the theatrical flair of The B-52’s and the absurd sex appeal of a boy band that writes its own rules.
TAXITAXI quickly became a phenomenon. Their shows are packed with humour, social commentary and audience interaction – from ‘Do you want to see my A-level certificate?’ to ‘People are talking’. At Paaspop 2025, the roof literally came off when the floor could no longer cope with all the jumping. Since then, TAXITAXI has been regarded as one of the most explosive new live acts in the Netherlands.
