Tractor Pulling Hoogeveen

The Hoogeveen Tractor Pulling event will take place once again on 15 August on the clay track at Europaweg 29 in Noordscheschut. For enthusiasts, tractor pulling is synonymous with a day out enjoying the finest and most powerful machines.

And it’s all about enjoying the spectacle as it unfolds. For those not yet bitten by the bug: a track 10 metres wide and 100 metres long has been laid out. The tractors then take turns trying to travel as far as possible along this track. To make it more challenging, a ‘cart’ is attached to the tractor. We call this the tow cart. This tow cart is set up so that it offers increasing resistance the further you travel. If the drag is set in such a way that no tractor manages to cover 100 metres, then the longest distance covered is the winning distance. As soon as several tractors cover the full track length of 100 metres, a final race is held with these tractors, in which the drag cart is set to provide greater resistance.

• demo pull, starting at 2.30 pm
• 7 tonnes standard, starts at 3.00 pm
• demo pull, starting at 4.15 pm
• 9 tonnes standard, starts at 4.45 pm
• 11 tonnes standard, starts at 6.00 pm
