Trailer parking is available at car park Oude Hoogeveensedijk 7963 RA in Dwingeloo.

Description
- In the Dwingelderveld, you can go horseback riding endlessly. There are four signposted bridle and steer routes with a total length of 57 kilometres. Dwingelderveld is the largest interconnected wet heathland area in Western Europe. No fewer than two flocks of sheep with shepherds keep the heathland in shape. In this National Park, you can still enjoy an endless, undisturbed horizon. The heathland is fringed with forest.
- NB: This route is only suitable for horse riders (not for carriages). The route goes through Dwingeloo forestry, partly through the former drift sand area Lheederzand. Parts of the route are narrow paths.
