Performance by the Advendo and HuneBrass brass bands

The only two brass bands in Drenthe together on one stage. On Saturday 17 October, Advendo Diever and HuneBrass will give a joint concert in the Hart van Diever. This is a special occasion, as they are the only two brass bands in Drenthe.
The brass band tradition originated in 19th-century England, where miners and factory workers in particular began making music together. Unlike a concert band or fanfare, which also feature woodwind instruments such as the clarinet and saxophone, a brass band consists exclusively of brass instruments and percussion. This creates the characteristic warm, powerful and sometimes spectacular brass band sound.
During the concert, Advendo and HuneBrass will demonstrate just how versatile brass music is: from subdued and melodious to grand and stirring.
