Exhibition experience farm Hoeve Koning Willem III

weekly

Agriculture has been practised in the Colonies of Weldadigheid since 1818. At the start of the large-scale experiment, settlers were given a cottage with a piece of land and a cow. Not much later, they scaled up and Johannes van den Bosch built six large, innovative farms. One of these is Hoeve Koning Willem III.

The story of the agricultural colonies is elaborated in an exhibition on display in the farmhouse. In the visitor area, you can learn all about the farm, the history of dairy farming and the way of 'farming' in today's challenging times. There is also a regional shop here where you can buy Colony Heritage, among other things.

Opening hours

  • Wednesday 2.30pm to 5pm
  • Friday 2.30pm to 5pm
  • Saturday 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
