World-famous Boschendal Picnic at Narline

For the fifth year running, the Boschendal Picnic at Narline in Zuidwolde will be held on Sunday 5 July 2026. Last year was once again a huge success; we were fully booked well in advance.

The South African winery Boschendal is not only renowned for its delicious wines; the Boschendal Picnic is also world-famous. You don’t need to travel to South Africa for it this summer. You can enjoy this culinary picnic in the garden and on the terrace of Narline in Zuidwolde, Drenthe. We’re bringing the South African Boschendal Picnic back to the Netherlands this summer.

A chic, cosy, culinary picnic.

Enjoy a cosy culinary picnic with friends or family in Narline’s beautiful garden, either on a picnic bench or on our terrace. The choice is yours… The picnic basket you’ll receive contains all sorts of delicious cold dishes. This afternoon, the hot dishes will be served straight from our kitchen or from the barbecue. Our head chef spent a year living in South Africa, so you can expect some real highlights. Our sommelier has worked with Boschendal to select some lovely wines to pair with the food. During the picnic, he’ll be joining the Boschendal sommelier to tell you all about these wines.

Live music by Duo Sonic

Duo Sonic will be performing at the Boschendal Picnic. Singer Annette Goede and guitarist/singer/percussionist Hans van Beek will be playing an extensive repertoire of easy listening, jazz, blues, country and Top 40 music.
