Sheepfold Achter 't Zaand
Watching the whole flock fanning out in the morning is a beautiful sight. Want to watch the sheep leave or return?
Every day, the shepherd goes out onto the moors with the flock. Want to see the flock go out and come back? Then look at the chalkboard by the sheepfold. On it, the shepherds write what time they leave and return.
Parking
From Staatsbosbeheer's Achter 't Zaand car park along the Lhee and Kraloo road, it is about a 10-minute walk to Achter 't Zaand sheepfold. For people with disabilities, there is a special parking space near the sheepfold.
Tip:
Look up. In the doorway of the sheepfold hangs a big bunch of holly. Every year, the shepherd refreshes the bunch. It is said to help against an infectious disease: sore mouth disease.
