It has a full kitchen with dishwasher, oven, Senseo and microwave, and on the ground floor a spacious bathroom with separate shower area and a unique double box bed. Below is the spacious double box bed (180 x 210) and in the cosy loft above it are 2 single beds.
The holiday flat on the ground floor is suitable for 1 - 4 persons, but if you come with more persons, a room for 2 or 3 persons can be rented on the upper floor.
The spacious and cosy holiday home for 6 - 12 people basically consists of the holiday flat with the large living room, the complete kitchen, the spacious box bed and the 2 sleeping places above. The large living room has a large dining table, a bar and a seating area. Complementing the holiday home is the extra spacious sitting room with a large lounge sofa, TV and children's play corner. In addition, on the upper floor there are 2 triple bedrooms and 1 double bedroom, each with its own bathroom.
Dogs and horses welcome. We have 5 stables for horse/pony and paddock/grazing, also for day and night.
In addition, since spring 2026, we have also had a meeting room available for 16 people. So if you’re looking for a place to hold a meeting and stay overnight for a training course, you can also come to us.
Additional services and activities:
We offer additional services and activities that you can book in addition to your stay. Such as the wood-fired hot tub or a campfire evening with marshmallows and/or baking bread. You can also choose a storyteller by the campfire or a musician to sing songs. Furthermore, we offer workshops such as 'Introduction to Horse Coaching' or lessons on horse behaviour. For riders, we offer, for example, a guide ride with the story of the region or a photo shoot with your horse or pony.
We also offer Wellness packages, Retreat packages and Teambuilding packages for groups.
Relax in natural surroundings
The farm is located in the middle of the Drents-Friese Wold. This landscape is varied with woods, heath and farmland. The yard of Hoeve Heide en Wold is green and natural with old oaks over 100 years old, nut trees, flower meadows and woods. There are many songbirds, butterflies and even deer! Of course, there are farm animals such as horses, chickens, dogs, cats and guinea pigs. The natural atmosphere will make you relax here.
Discover the Drents-Friese Wold
The farm is located in Wateren, in the Drents-Friese Wold. The landscape is very varied with farmland, heathland, woods and lakes. From the location, you can walk to the woods in 5 minutes and to the heath in 15 minutes. A swimming lake is within walking distance, a large recreational lake within cycling distance. Cycling and bridle paths pass the property. The mountain bike route is at 10 minutes cycling distance. A lake especially for horses and dogs, is half an hour on horseback. In the vicinity are several restaurants such as in Zorgvlied at walking distance, in Doldersum, Vledder and Diever. In Appelscha there is a small amusement park (for young children) and a climbing park.
