Camping Torentjeshoek

Medium-sized charm campsite on the Dwingelderveld National Park, 1.5 km south of Dwingeloo. Here you camp under tall trees, with your feet in the grass. From the campsite you walk down the path into the natural beauty of Drenthe with its heathland. The campsite is a natural, green haven and a great starting point for walking and cycling tours.

Come with tent or caravan, or rent a Treehouse
With your own tent, caravan or camper, book a comfort pitch on grass on one of the fields, with a wide view. Or choose a comfort pitch on woodland among the trees, with more privacy and low vegetation. Very sunny or rather shady, the choice is yours. The pitches are bordered by trees and two of them are car-free. The comfort pitches are spacious: from around 100 to 250 m2. If you prefer to rent, you have a wide choice of rental accommodation here that combines the comfort of a cottage with camping in nature. Choose from one of the Safari tents, Tunnel tents, (mini) Chalets, Bostruck, Treehouse and Tree houses. But we also have a Dom'up a tent suspended among the trees with outdoor kitchen and equipped with its own toilet hut.

Family holidays under tall trees
As a guest at the campsite, you have free access to Het Beleefpark Dwingeloo (including outdoor swimming pool), 300 metres from the campsite. Swim laps in the 25-metre pool, dare to jump off the high diving board, play with your children in the paddling pool or slide down the water slide. On the campsite itself, children can play to their hearts ' content in the OER. In the OER theme, you can go wild in our brand new indoor playground. Explore the settlement of ancient times, the time of the dolmen people! You can play to your heart's content! Climb and clamber in the nets, play in the sand, walk across the net walkway, discover all the houses and huts, slide down both slides and... there are all kinds of animals hidden there too. Can you find them all? Outside, children have fun in the outdoor playground with cable car, bouncy castle, swing and other play equipment. In high season, an entertainment team organises all sorts of games and activities for children.

In our cosy Brasserie, you can enjoy a cup of coffee with a treat, a cosy drink with a snack or a delicious plate dish. At 't Snackhuussie you can enjoy a (soft) ice cream, snack or an oven-fresh pizza. On the terrace or in the evening by the fireplace in the bar, meet up for a cosy drink. In our ieniemini shop, near reception, you can buy those forgotten groceries. In Dwingeloo you will find more restaurants, all kinds of shops and a supermarket. You can hire bikes at the campsite to explore the surroundings. You can also rent go-karts for use on the campsite.

Camping in a luxury safari tent. With up to 5 or 7 people, depending on the type of safari tent, you can enjoy breakfast on your own wooden terrace, in a beautiful location at the edge of the woods. After a day of walking, cycling or safari, you plop down on one of the comfortable beds. Take a nice shower in the luxurious bathroom, cook up a good meal in the fully equipped kitchen. Camping in your own country? It doesn't feel like that in a safari tent!

SafariCabin. Enjoy a fully equipped safari cabin for 4 to a maximum of 5 people. This SafariCabin has a toilet, a kitchen with electric cooker, sink, fridge and electric heater. Cosy and special camping.

A mini-chalet: characteristic and charming! For those who love comfort but don't like to overdo it. This cosy accommodation has the atmosphere of a cosy bed and breakfast. A cute cottage with all facilities for up to 4 people.

The luxury chalet: especially for enjoyers! Sleep comfortably, wake up in the open air and have a nice long breakfast with hot rolls, fresh coffee and a newspaper. For a wonderful carefree holiday in Drenthe or weekend away with 2 to 4 people.

Treehouse XXL an experience in Drenthe to remember!
Waking up at and overwhelming location. Breakfast on the terrace with a cup of coffee in the morning sun while enjoying the sounds of the birds. The squirrels rustling through the trees. Enjoying a glass of wine in the evening sun at 7 metres. The Treehouse is suitable for 4 to 7 people, with every luxury and, as a present, an enchanting view. If you are very quiet, the deer might come and wish you a good evening. Unique and cool. Romantic...with a touch of mysticism.

Spend the night in a cool Forest Truck! This is a 2-person accommodation that can be extended with a small Jeep and/or a Trailer in which 2 people each can spend the night. This way, an upgrade can be made to an accommodation suitable for 6 persons.

Feel at one with nature in a Treehouse at Torentjeshoek! This holiday cottage fits in perfectly with its wooded surroundings. In terms of appearance, but also in terms of facilities. Back to basics with a picnic table and 2-burner electric cooker. The simplicity of camping for up to 4 people, but nice and dry!

Adventurous camping is possible in the Dom'Up! You spend the night high and dry at a height of a few metres among the branches of the trees. Inside the tent you will find a comfortable bed where you can spend the night with a maximum of 2 people. You can relax on the deck in front of the tent. Can you see yourself with a glass of wine, listening to the rustling of the branches and the cheerful singing birds? Downstairs is a private sanitary unit with toilet that you can use with both feet on the floor. For a refreshing shower, you can use our luxurious sanitary building. If you fancy something tasty, you can prepare your own meal in the outdoor kitchen. For a little shelter from the bright sun or rain, we have hung up a tarp (tent awning) for you.

New since 2026: The Tunnel Tent. Rent a tunnel tent in Drenthe at Camping Torentjeshoek and enjoy camping with a touch of glamping. Experience an unforgettable weekend with your partner, book a mother-daughter weekend or spend a week to yourself! In the tent you will find a comfortable bed where you can spend the night with a maximum of 2 persons. You can relax on the deck in front of the tent. Can you see yourself with a glass of wine or beer, listening to the birds singing?

WINTER CAMPING.

Need to get away from home in winter? Immerse yourself in the peace and beauty of beautiful nature during the winter period and book a holiday at Camping Torentjeshoek in Dwingeloo! You can do so with your own camping equipment or in a few accommodations. You can stay in our Treehouse XXL, tree houses or in one of our chalets. In winter, you can also camp on one of our beautiful comfort pitches.

During the winter period, you are also welcome in our Brasserie for a cup of coffee, tea, a nice hot chocolate with whipped cream and of course we also have delicious pastries!

As for dining options, we have a modified winter menu. Every weekend, we are open from 11:00 to come and enjoy drinks or dinner.
