Nolderwoud (Kamp Linde)

'Het Nolderwoud' used to be Kamp Linde. It was founded in 1940 as a labour camp for the unemployed. Unemployed labourers were employed to make land suitable for agriculture, but forests in this area were also planted by the workers. Two years later, this camp served to shelter Jews. However, this camp did not operate for very long, namely from 15 July 1942 to 3 October 1942. Most of the Jews were then transferred to Camp Westerbork.

At the end of the Second World War, this former camp was used to accommodate evacuees. And in 1947, the function changed again and Camp Linde was renamed a family resort for families with a difficult upbringing.
From 1960 to 1994, the camp (then renamed Huize Waringin) housed families with adjustment problems from the former Dutch East Indies.

The current owners, converted the site in 1996 into a group accommodation, bungalow park, hotel rooms, wellness, restaurant and fishing pond.
