Huenderhoeve information centre

Information centre Huenderhoeve is in the Doldersummerveld and is located in a former sheepfold. The unmanned centre is open from April to October. The Doldersummerveld is part of the National Park Drents-Friese Wold. At the information centre, you will find information about the sheep and management. For children, there are some self-guided activities.

Walking and cycling
Information centre Huenderhoeve is the starting point of a beautiful walking route through the area. Visit, for instance, the watchtower in the southeast of the Doldersummerveld. From here, you have a panoramic view of this heathland area. Keep your eyes and ears wide open during your visit, because more than 100 species of breeding birds live in Doldersummerveld and it is known as one of the most species-rich wet heaths in Drenthe.

A fun and varied walk through the area runs from the information centre. For children, the centre has created a small treasure hunt where they can look for the sheep.

The information centre is an official rest stop. Coffee/tea are available for a small fee.
