Nivon | The Hunehuis
On top of the Havelterberg, near the dolmens, the modern Friends of Nature House 'het Hunehuis' is located amid heathland, woods, fens and sand drifts. The Hunehuis, which is part of the Nivon, is a charming holiday home on a self-catering basis for both individual guests and groups. From the large hall you have a beautiful view over moors and the forests of the Westerzand. The house has 29 rooms with a total of 63 beds, including ten double rooms with private shower and toilet. You do not have to be a member of the Nivon to stay, but members do enjoy a considerable discount. Becoming a member soon pays off.

Apart from the main hall, two small rooms can be rented separately for meetings. A large number of midweek activities are organised. See the website for details. Around the house there is plenty of play and games space and a nature campsite for 10 tents. Bicycles are available for rent at the house, including two e-bikes.
