View tower De Bosberg
The observation tower is no less than 35 metres high stands on the highest point on the Frisian mainland, a 27-metre-high shifting dune. The design by Assen-based architect Frans Beune was inspired by a giant pine trunk. From the tower, the cities of Leeuwarden, Coevorden and Groningen can be seen, as can the vast Drents-Friese Wold National Park. The predecessor of this tower on the Bosberg is the Belvedère, which was only half as high.

Parking near Forest Mountain is possible, and a lift is available to get to the top of the high tower.
