Sunday 5 July
On Sunday 5 July, Radiotelescope Dwingeloo will be the venue for the National Solar Day. When the weather is clear, solar telescopes will be set up outside to look at the sun safely. Tours will be given in the radio telescope, which of course pays extra attention to the sun's radio noise.
We will also reflect on the solar eclipse of 12 August 2026, which will be visible from the Netherlands.
Tours of the telescope last 40 minutes. Space in the radio telescope is limited, so reservations are required.
