1. RCN De Noordster | Dwingeloo
RCN de Noordster has two wheelchair-accessible holiday bungalows: Sirius (sleeps 4) and Meteoor (sleeps 6). Both properties are entirely on one level and threshold-free, with extra-wide doorways and a wheelchair-accessible kitchen.
The bathroom has also been adapted, featuring, amongst other things, a shower seat, wall-mounted grab rails, an adapted washbasin and a disabled toilet. In addition, the bungalows are fitted with electric height-adjustable beds. You can park right next to the accommodation and reach the entrance via a paved path.
An added bonus is thatthe Noordenveld Family Trail is just over 5 kilometres from the holiday park. This 2.5-kilometre-long, wheelchair-accessible walking route follows wide boardwalks past woods, heathland and ponds. There are several wheelchair-friendly rest areas along the way, and you’ll find a disabled toilet at the Achter 't Zaand sheepfold.

2. ONS flat | Dwingeloo
At ONS Appartement, it’s all about a relaxing holiday, even if you use a wheelchair. The detached holiday home is completely barrier-free on the ground floor and features an electric height-adjustable bed, a spacious adapted bathroom and a modern adapted toilet.
Accessibility doesn’t stop at the front door. Thanks to the paved paths across the grounds, you can also easily make your way to the animal enclosure. An added bonus: the owners have compiled a comprehensive list on their website of wheelchair-accessible walking routes, museums and other accessible day trips in the area. This makes it easy to plan your stay.

3. 't Wildryck Estate | Diever
Nestled in the heart of the Diever woods lies Landgoed 't Wildryck. The holiday park features a wheelchair-friendly country house accommodating up to six people. The entire ground floor has been adapted and fitted out for guests who use a wheelchair or have reduced mobility.
The accommodation features, amongst other things, an adapted kitchen, a spacious bathroom with a toilet and grab rails, an electric height-adjustable bed with a headboard, and an electrically adjustable armchair. There is also an extra-spacious parking space right next to the property, making it easy to get in and out.
The facilities at the holiday park are also easily accessible. For example, the restaurant is wheelchair-accessible and there is a disabled toilet available.

4. Landhotel Diever | Diever
Thanks to the automatic sliding door at the entrance, wide doors and corridors, a minimum of thresholds and the fact that the entire hotel is a low-rise building, Landhotel Diever is a popular destination for people with physical disabilities.
Three rooms have an adapted toilet and some rooms offer the option of parking right outside the door. Of these rooms, one is on the standard side and two are on the meadow side. There used to be a high/low bed, but this is no longer available. Instead, the bed in the standard room is higher.
The bathroom is equipped with a shower stool and shower chair for showering whilst seated. The toilet is raised and there are armrests. The hotel also provides toilet seat raisers.
Personal care and nursing services are available on request, provided you arrange this yourself (through your health insurance). Assistance dogs are also welcome in some rooms for a fee.
5. Westerbergen Holiday Park | Echten
At Vakantiepark Westerbergen, you can stay in the ‘Bosbungalow Buitengewoon’: a specially fitted-out, wheelchair-friendly holiday home surrounded by greenery. The bungalow is single-storey, has low thresholds and features wide doorways, so you can move around the accommodation with ease.
The property is equipped with a height-adjustable kitchen, an adapted bathroom with grab rails and a fold-away shower seat, a toilet with grab rails and a bedroom with a height-adjustable bed including a headboard. Accessibility has also been taken into account within the holiday park itself. For example, toilet block 1 has a disabled toilet, and there is a disabled toilet in the main building.
Furthermore, the Bovenveen Experience Trail is situated approximately 5 kilometres from the holiday park. This accessible walking route follows a semi-paved path through the Ruinen Forest, past heathland, woods and the Bovenveen. Thanks to the flat terrain, the route is suitable for wheelchairs, mobility scooters and pushchairs.
